Welcome to George Browns Ltd! We’re excited to have you as a customer and want to ensure you have a seamless shopping experience, including a clear understanding of our shipping practices. Please read our Shipping Policy carefully before making a purchase.

 

1. Shipping Methods and Times:

1.1 We offer various shipping methods to cater to your needs. Shipping times may vary based on your location, the selected shipping method, and the availability of the products. Estimated shipping times are provided during the checkout process and are based on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays).

 

Express Delivery: We aim to send by Next Day courier (Excluding weekends and bank holidays)

Store2Door Delivery: One of our machine specialists will contact you to organise a delivery time and date that suits you.

Some of our products will be shipped directly from the manufacturer, so we won’t accept liability for the delivery times, condition of these products. The lead times on these products may add an extra 24 to 48 hours to the lead time.

 

1.2 Orders are usually processed within 1 business day from the date of purchase. During peak seasons or promotional periods, order processing may take slightly longer. Once your order is processed and shipped, you will receive a confirmation email containing tracking information, if applicable.

 

1.3 Orders received after 1:00pm Friday, or Saturday & Sunday will be dispatched on the following Monday (excluding bank holidays)

 

1.4 If your order is showing ‘On Hold’, we have actioned a stock transfer from another depot and may add up to two days to delivery time.

 

1.5 If your order is showing ‘Completed’, your order has dispatched from our dispatch depot.

  1. Shipping Costs:

3.1 Shipping costs are calculated based on factors such as destination, shipping method, and order weight or dimensions. The total shipping cost will be displayed during the checkout process before payment is made.

 

  1. Order Tracking:

4.1 For orders with available tracking, a tracking number will be provided in your shipping confirmation email. You can use this tracking number to monitor the progress of your shipment. Please note that it might take up to 24 hours for the tracking information to become available after your order has been shipped.

 

  1. Shipping Restrictions:

5.1 We currently offer shipping to Mainland UK only.

 

5.2 Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isles of Scilly, some of the Scottish Islands and the Isle of Man, at flat rate due to additional fuel surcharges for deliveries to these locations. However, we are continuously working to expand our reach.

 

5.3 If you require shipping to these locations at extra cost, please contact us for prices.

 

  1. Undeliverable Packages:

6.1 If a package is deemed undeliverable due to incorrect shipping information provided by the customer, the customer’s refusal to accept the package, or failure to retrieve the package from the carrier’s designated pick-up location, the customer will be responsible for any return shipping costs incurred and any subsequent re-delivery costs.

 

  1. Delays and Force Majeure:

7.1 While we strive to meet estimated delivery times, there may be circumstances beyond our control that could lead to shipping delays. These circumstances include but are not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, labour strikes, or other unforeseen events. We will do our best to communicate any significant delays and provide updated delivery estimates.

 

7.2 For clarification, George Browns Ltd. will not refund a delivery charge if the courier has failed to deliver the item(s) on an anticipated delivery date and will not be held responsible for the return of these goods.

 

7.3 We always strive to dispatch our goods on time and in full. However, we do rely on a third-party courier company to deliver your goods. We are reliable for the dispatch of goods on time and in full, and we do not take responsibility for any delays or issues caused by the third-party courier. You will receive information and tracking details for your goods should you wish to contact them.

  • What courier company do George Browns use?

    We use FedEx for most of our orders. However, on some occasions, we may use a different courier company to fulfil your order.

  • How long should my delivery take to arrive?

    We strive to ensure that all our orders are dispatched same day for express delivery, which in most cases is next day (with the exception of weekends and bank holidays). However, on some occasions there may be a slight delay to your order. Reasons for this are, but not limited to: High volume of orders, Peak season influx, courier delays, inter stock transfers from other depots.

  • Can I collect my order?

    We have a click and collect option at checkout. You are able to collect from any of our depots.

  • Where do you deliver?

    Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isles of Scilly, some of the Scottish Islands and the Isle of Man, at flat rate due to additional fuel surcharges for deliveries to these locations. However, we are continuously working to expand our reach.

  • Do I have to be in when my order is delivered?

    The answer is ‘no’ however, if you are not going to be in, please let FedEx know so they can either arrange a new delivery date or leave with a neighbour. We do require a signature for all of our orders.

    If FedEx are unable to obtain a signature from either yourself or neighbour, they wont deliver.

    FedEx will attempt to deliver 3 times, after this they will return back to George Browns.
