At George browns, we strive to provide high-quality garden machinery and accessories to our valued customers. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, but we understand that sometimes returns may be necessary. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free returns process, we have developed the following Returns Policy:


Eligibility for Returns:

1.1. Unused and unopened items: You may return any unused and unopened items within 30 days of the purchase date. You must provide a valid receipt/invoice for your purchase.

1.2. Defective or damaged items: In the event that your item is defective or arrives damaged, please contact us via our contact us page within 24 hours one the fault/damage is found to arrange a return.


1.3. Certain categories of products, such as PPE, may have unique return requirements due to hygiene or safety reasons.

1.4. Items purchased during a promotional event or using a discount code may be subject to different return conditions and will only be refunded at the sale value.


Customer Return Procedure:

2.1. Contact Customer Support: To initiate a return, please contact our Customer Support team via our contact us page detailing the reason for your return or call us at 01525 216 396 our team will guide you through the process.

2.2 Packaging: Please ensure that the items are securely packaged to avoid any damage during the return transit. For the original packaging, use additional protective materials to prevent any damage to the product box or packaging.

2.3. Return Address: Ship the package to the address provided by our Customer Support team.

2.4. Any package returned without prior notification to our customer service team will not be refunded.


Condition of Returned Items:

3.1. Unused and unopened items: To be eligible for a refund, the returned items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.

3.2. Defective or damaged items: please contact us on our contact us page, our customer service team will assist you with our damaged returns process. This will not affect your statutory rights. If the machine has oil or is battery operated, you will be instructed by one of our team how to prepare for the return of goods.


Return Shipping:

4.1. Unused, unopened and unwanted items: Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping for unused and unopened items. We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure that the package is delivered successfully.

4.2. Defective or damaged items: In the case of defective or damaged items, we will provide a prepaid shipping label or reimburse your return shipping costs. If the packaging is damaged when you receive your goods, you must notify us within 24 hours of the packaging arriving with you via our contact form.


Refunds and Processing Time:

5.1. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 3 business days. The refund will be issued using the original payment method used during the purchase.

5.2. Please note that it may take a few additional business days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your financial institution’s policies.



6.1. We are unable to accept returns for used or damaged items resulting from misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.

6.2. Return requests made after the 30-day period from the purchase date will not be eligible for a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

6.3. If you return an item that after assessment by our workshop is deemed by us to be used and not faulty. We reserve the right to return the item back to you, with no refund.



7.1. All our garden machinery and accessories come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Please refer to the specific product page or the product manual for details about the warranty coverage.

  • Can I return my product?

    The answer is: If you have purchased a product from us and it has been used. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept the item back for a return.

    However, if the product is faulty and is within the manufactures warranty period, we will do all we can to resolve the issue which may include warrantable work before a replacement or refund is provided.

    If your product has not been used, is in a saleable condition, and original packaging, we will be able to issue you a refund or replacement if within our 30 day Guarantee period.

  • Do I have to pay for the return of my goods?

    If the goods ordered are unwanted, or ordered in error, then it is the customers responsibility to pay for the return of the goods.

    If the product is faulty, then we will cover the cost of the goods and arrange a collection via our courier service.

    If you have ordered a ride on lawn mower via our Store2Door service, we will collect the product at a fee of £90 for recovery unless the item is faulty.
