The EGO AURA-R2 Robotic Lawn Mower 3000m² is a fully autonomous robot mower designed to maintain lawns up to 3000m². It combines advanced navigation, intelligent obstacle detection and smart connectivity to deliver a precise, consistent lawn finish with minimal effort.

At the heart of the AURA-R2 is EGO’s PATH IQ™ navigation system. It combines RTK, VSLAM and VIO technology to map and navigate your lawn with centimetre-level accuracy. Best of all, the system works without traditional boundary wires.

Wire-Free Robotic Mowing

The EGO AURA-R2 removes the need for traditional boundary wire installation. Instead, it creates virtual boundaries using its advanced navigation and vision technology.

This makes the initial setup simpler and provides greater flexibility when managing different areas of your garden. Furthermore, the AURA-R2 can manage up to 20 mowing zones, making it suitable for larger and more complex lawns.

PATH IQ™ Intelligent Navigation

PATH IQ™ combines three technologies to help the AURA-R2 navigate accurately around your lawn.

RTK uses satellite positioning and correction data from the PATH IQ™ antenna. This allows the mower to maintain accurate positioning and follow efficient mowing routes.

VSLAM uses the mower’s binocular stereo cameras to recognise and map its surroundings. Meanwhile, VIO combines visual information with internal motion sensors to help maintain navigation when satellite signals are temporarily unavailable.

Together, these technologies allow the AURA-R2 to navigate complex areas without relying on boundary wire.

Intelligent Stripe Mowing

The AURA-R2 uses an intelligent stripe mowing pattern rather than random mowing routes. This helps the mower cover the lawn efficiently while producing a neat, consistent finish.

After each complete mowing cycle, the mower changes its mowing angle. As a result, visible tracks are reduced and grass wear is minimised.

Efficient Mowing Up To 3000m²

Designed for larger lawns, the EGO AURA-R2 Robotic Lawn Mower 3000m² can mow areas of up to 3000m². It offers a mowing efficiency of up to 180m² per hour, while its 5Ah battery provides up to two hours of mowing time per charge.

The mower can cover up to 330m² per charge and has a recommended daily mowing area of up to 2500m². Therefore, it is well suited to larger domestic gardens and landscaped properties.

Smart Obstacle Detection

The AURA-R2 features a dual-camera vision system that detects obstacles in real time. It can identify objects around the lawn and adjust its route to avoid them.

In addition, rainfall detection automatically pauses mowing when wet conditions are detected. This helps protect the lawn from unnecessary damage when the ground is wet.

Adjustable Cutting Height

The cutting height can be electronically adjusted from 20mm to 90mm using the EGO Connect app. This allows you to select the ideal cutting height for your lawn and preferred finish.

The mower has a 24cm cutting width and uses three pivoting blades. Its daily micro-cutting system removes small amounts of grass at a time, producing fine clippings that can return nutrients to the lawn.

Handles Slopes Up To 50%

The EGO AURA-R2 can handle gradients of up to 50%, making it suitable for gardens with slopes and challenging terrain.

Despite the gradient, the mower maintains its intelligent mowing pattern. Therefore, you can achieve consistent results across more demanding lawns.

Control From The EGO Connect App

The AURA-R2 connects to the EGO Connect app through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G. This gives you convenient control over your mower from your smartphone.

You can adjust mowing schedules, directions and cutting height. In addition, the connected system provides remote updates and control wherever you are. Three years of data connectivity are included.

Built For Outdoor Use

The AURA-R2 has an IP66-rated housing, providing protection against dust and water. It is also designed for easy cleaning, including pressure washing.

For additional security, the mower includes GPS, remote locking and theft tracking. Integrated lighting also allows the AURA-R2 to work in darker conditions.
