The EGO AURA-R2 Robotic Lawn Mower 1500m² is an advanced, fully autonomous robot mower designed to maintain lawns up to 1500m². With wire-free navigation, intelligent mapping and smart obstacle detection, it takes the hard work out of regular lawn maintenance.

At the heart of the AURA-R2 is EGO’s PATH IQ™ navigation system. It combines RTK, VSLAM and VIO technology to map your lawn and navigate with centimetre-level accuracy. As a result, the mower can create precise mowing routes without traditional boundary wires.

Wire-Free Robotic Mowing

Unlike traditional robot mowers, the EGO AURA-R2 does not require boundary wire around your lawn. Instead, PATH IQ™ creates a virtual boundary and maps the mowing area using advanced positioning and vision technology.

This makes installation simpler and gives you greater flexibility when managing your lawn. Furthermore, the system can support up to 20 mowing zones, making the AURA-R2 suitable for gardens with multiple areas.

Intelligent PATH IQ™ Navigation

The AURA-R2 uses three technologies within its PATH IQ™ system to navigate accurately.

RTK uses satellite positioning and correction data from the PATH IQ™ antenna. This helps the mower maintain precise routes across the lawn.

VSLAM uses the mower’s dual cameras to recognise and map its surroundings. Meanwhile, VIO combines camera information with movement sensors to help maintain navigation when satellite signals are temporarily unavailable.

Together, these technologies help the AURA-R2 navigate complex gardens while maintaining efficient mowing patterns.

Precise Stripe Mowing

The EGO AURA-R2 Robotic Lawn Mower 1500m² doesn’t simply move randomly around your garden. Instead, it follows an intelligent stripe mowing pattern to provide a consistent finish.

After each complete mowing cycle, the mower changes its mowing angle. This helps reduce visible track marks and grass wear. Therefore, your lawn receives a more natural and professional-looking finish over time.

Smart Obstacle Detection

The AURA-R2 features a dual-camera vision system that helps identify and avoid obstacles around your garden. This allows the mower to react to objects such as garden furniture, toys and other features.

In addition, the mower includes rainfall detection. When rain is detected, the AURA-R2 can pause mowing to help protect the lawn surface during wet conditions.

Adjustable Cutting Height

The electronic cutting height can be adjusted between 20mm and 90mm. This gives you greater control over the appearance of your lawn and allows the mower to suit different grass conditions.

The AURA-R2 has a 24cm cutting width and uses three pivoting blades for efficient daily mowing. Its micro-cutting system removes small amounts of grass regularly, creating fine clippings that can return nutrients to the lawn.

Handles Slopes Up To 50%

The EGO AURA-R2 is designed to tackle challenging garden terrain. It can handle gradients of up to 50%, allowing it to work across sloping lawns and uneven areas while maintaining its mowing pattern.

This makes the AURA-R2 a versatile choice for gardens where a standard robotic mower may struggle.

Smart App Connectivity

The EGO AURA-R2 connects to the EGO Connect app using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G. This allows you to manage and monitor the mower remotely.

The machine includes three years of data, providing connected functionality without needing to arrange a separate data plan during the included period.

Built For Outdoor Use

With an IP66-rated design, the AURA-R2 is built to withstand dust and water. It is also designed for easy cleaning, including cleaning with a pressure washer.

The mower features integrated GPS, remote locking and theft tracking for additional security. Furthermore, integrated lights allow the AURA-R2 to operate in darker conditions.
