At George browns, we strive to provide high-quality garden machinery and accessories to our valued customers. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase so to ensure a smooth and hassle-free Click and Collect process, we have developed the following Click and Collect Policy:
1.1 Thank you for choosing our Click and Collect service. This policy will outline the terms and conditions for using our service. By placing an order through our website you agree to abide by the terms in this policy.
2.1 Browse through our online store and select the desired items you wish to purchase.
2.2 Add those items to the shopping trolley by clicking the add to basket button.
2.3 Procced to the checkout by clicking the shopping trolley icon at the top of the page.
2.4 Once you are in the shopping trolley you will need to select the click and collect option which is located at the bottom of the trolly page.
2.5 Fill out your details and then select the store you wish to collect your order from. George Browns has 5 branches: Leighton buzzard, Whitney, Chesham, Daventry and Great Dunmow.
2.6 Complete the payment process as required.
3.1 Once you have completed your order you will receive an order confirmation email. This email does not signal that your order is ready for collection. You will also receive and thank you for shopping with us email again this email does not signal that your order is ready for collection.
3.2 You will receive a phone call from your chosen branch to notify you that your order is ready for collection.
3.3 Your order could take up to 48hrs to arrive at your chosen depot. This is because, all of our machines are dispatched from our central warehouse to help with stock control. Please wait for the phone call from the branch before you go into the depot to collect.
3.4 Orders will be able to collect during our standard working hours which vary depending on branch. Please see our branch information for opening hours. https://georgebrowns.co.uk/branch/
3.5 Please bring your order confirmation email for verification. If you do not have this email, we reserve the right to refuse collection until the verified email is confirmed by a member of George Browns Staff.
4.1 Visit the designated branch you selected for collection.
4.2 Head to the main parts counter where a member of staff will be able assist getting you your order.
5.1 Please collect your order within 30 days of the phone call from the depot confirming that your order is ready for collection. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation and a refund, minus any applicable restocking fees.

Order Amendments and Cancellations:
6.1 If you wish to amend your order, please contact the online sales support as soon as possible on 01525372396. We will do our best to accommodate your request, however sometimes changes might not always be possible.
6.2 To cancel your order please contact us within 24hrs of the order being placed.
Returns and Exchanges:
7.1 In the event that your item is defective or arrives damaged, please contact us immediately to arrange a return. Please refer to our returns policy for more details.
7.2 You may return any unused and unopened items within 30 days of the purchase date.
7.3 In an event that you have ordered the wrong machine and you would like to exchange them, please contact the online sales support team so we can help you through the process of getting it exchanged. This only applies to unopened and unused goods. Please refer to returns policy for more details.
8.1 If you are unable to collect your order in the designated time frame, please notify a member of the online store team as soon as possible.
8.2 We will then discuss a timeframe to retain the goods that suits both George Browns and the Customer. If an agreement cannot be met, we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund the cost of the goods.
Privacy and Security:
9.2 We take all the necessary precautions to protect all your personal information.
10.1 All orders are subject to availability. In the rare event that the item you have ordered is out of stock, we will contact you to discuss your options which may include, suitable replacement or refund.

Changes to our policy:

All orders will be charged a flat rate of £9.95 for carriage, except Store2Door delivery.
All deliveries sent by courier and will require a signature.
Mainland orders (received before 2.00pm) are usually sent on a next day delivery, stock permitting.
Whilst we strive for next working day delivery on all items there will inevitably be the odd occasion where circumstances beyond our control prevent this. On the very rare occasion that this does happen, we cannot be held responsible for the late delivery of the item.
If your order is showing ‘On Hold’, this means that we have actioned a stock transfer from another depot and may add up to two days to delivery time.
If your order is showing ‘Completed’ this means that your order has dispatched.
George Browns Ltd. rely upon the services of third-party couriers, and there may be the odd occasion when the couriers let us down.
For clarification, George Browns Ltd. will not refund a delivery charge if the courier has failed to deliver the item(s) on an anticipated delivery date and will not be held responsible for the return of these goods.
Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods in good condition. If the package looks to be damaged or appears not to be in good condition then please sign for the goods as damaged. If you are unable to check the goods then please sign for unchecked. Failure to do so could affect any warranty claim that you make thereafter. If delivery is refused at the delivery address on an undamaged package we cannot be held responsible.
Please note: Orders received over holiday periods (Christmas, Bank Holidays etc.) will be dispatched at the earliest opportunity. Please accept some delay at these times.
Orders received after 2:00pm Friday, or Saturday & Sunday will be dispatched on the following Monday.
We currently deliver to Mainland UK only.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isles of Scilly, some of the Scottish Islands and the Isle of Man, at flat rate due to additional fuel surcharges for deliveries to these locations.
If you require shipping to these locations at extra cost please contact us for prices.
No goods are to be returned to George Browns Ltd. without prior notice.
If you return goods because they were ordered incorrectly, or if clothing does not fit, you will only be credited for the goods and will be responsible for the return cost.
If you reorder a different size or colour we may charge for the carriage at our discretion.
If you wish to return goods because they are faulty or damaged we will organise a collection at your convenience or alternatively reimburse your postal cost (subject to inspection of goods).
All goods must be returned in original undamaged packaging.
All damaged or faulty items must be reported directly to George Browns Ltd. within 24 hours of delivery.
All refunds will be credited to the card with which the goods were paid.
